On Monday, July 20, Broadway between Cambie and Alberta streets will close to vehicle traffic for approximately six months.
Buses and local traffic will be detoured around the closure using W. 8th Avenue. Sidewalks will remain open on Broadway and access to businesses, services and residences will be maintained at all times.
Night work is scheduled for the week of July 13 with work hours between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Great Northern Way-Emily Carr Station
Great Northern Way-Emily Carr hours of work: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Intermittent night work.
Elevated guideway typical hours of work: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Intermittent night work.
Dynamic testing is underway on the elevated guideway. You may see SkyTrain vehicles moving along the guideway to test systems and the new track.
Crews are building the new station, including concrete and rebar activities and installation of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, with increased deliveries of supplies.
Crews are backfilling the station to fill the space between the underground station roof and the road above.
Crews are preparing to start backfill activities at the tunnel entrance and pouring the final section of roof for the above-ground station entrance.
Over the coming months, crews will focus on waterproofing, concrete pours, and rebar installation as station construction progresses.
Along the elevated guideway, work to complete crew walkways and install permanent noise barriers is ongoing.
Installation of cables for communications and train systems will also continue as crews prepare for the start of dynamic testing on the elevated guideway this year.
Mount Pleasant Station
Typical hours of work: 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. Trucks may arrive on site as early as 5 a.m. Intermittent night work.
Crews are building and fitting out the station, including installing mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems. Deliveries of construction materials and equipment continue.
Crews continue to construct the final streetscape on Broadway.
Businesses and services remain open and accessible throughout the work.
Between August 20 and 23, BSPC will be milling the road surface, paving, and painting traffic lines on E. Broadway from the intersection at Main Street to west of Quebec Street.
Crews will be performing the noisier works of milling and paving during the day on August 20 and 21.
Sidewalks remain open and accessible; however, pedestrians may be re-routed around work zones.

All four vehicle lanes will be open as of June 25, with some intermittent lane closures still required to finalize sidewalks, the final lift of asphalt, and other finishing work.
Crews are completing masonry work across all station levels. Over the summer, dynamic testing will move past the Mount Pleasant Station and head west, marking an important step toward commissioning.

Typical hours of work: 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. Night work from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning July 20 for approximately 4 weeks to remove the traffic deck.
Crews are building the new station, including concrete and rebar activities and installation of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, with regular deliveries of supplies.

Additionally, micropiling work will take place this spring on W. Broadway between Yukon and Cambie streets.

When overnight work is required, work hours can range from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Expect temporary traffic changes related to the delivery of materials and construction activities.
Oak-VGH Station
Typical hours of work: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Crews are building and fitting out the station, including concrete and rebar activities and installing mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, with regular deliveries of supplies.
Crews are removing the traffic deck and backfilling the station. W. Broadway is reduced to one lane in each direction during traffic deck removal and road reconstruction work.
On August 23, utility inspection work will take place at the Oak Street and Broadway intersection from 6 p.m. until 1 a.m.
On August 26, crews will be line painting and line eradicating overnight ahead of the traffic switch on Broadway from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.
On August 27, traffic on Broadway will shift to the south side of the roadway to allow crews to remove the traffic deck on the north side. This work will continue through the fall.
Crews continue working on the station entrance which includes the elevator and escalator structure construction and the installation of the ceiling panels at the platform level.
Regular work hours are Monday to Saturday from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. There may be occasional work on Sundays and holidays.
Broadway is reduced to one lane in each direction during traffic deck removal and road reconstruction work.
Backfilling has begun at the future Oak-VGH Station between Laurel and Oak streets.
Work hours for backfilling are Monday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The first phase of backfilling is expected to take approximately two to three weeks and is weather dependent.
There will be temporary traffic stops on Laurel Street and the lane south of W. Broadway for trucks.
South Granville Station
Typical hours of work: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Regular night work.
Crews are building and fitting out the station, including concrete and rebar activities and installing mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, with increased deliveries of supplies.
Permanent utility relocation work ongoing on Hemlock Street and in the laneway south of W. Broadway with intermittent lane closures.
Crews will begin backfilling activities at Granville Street and Broadway, followed by traffic deck removal this summer. W. Broadway will remain open throughout traffic deck removal work, with one lane in each direction being maintained as crews rebuild the roadway.
Regular hours of work are from Monday to Saturday from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. There may be occasional work that starts earlier or work on Sunday and holidays.
When overnight work is required, work hours can range from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Permanent utility work at the future South Granville Station is expected to begin in late November now that preparatory bypass activities have been completed.
Regular work hours are Monday to Saturday from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. There may be occasional work on Sundays and holidays.
When overnight work is required, work hours can range from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Temporary lane closures and changes to pedestrian access to accommodate the reinstatement of utility pipes and equipment staging.
Arbutus Station
Typical hours of work: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Regular night work.
Crews are building and fitting out the station, including concrete and rebar activities and installing mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, with regular deliveries of supplies.
W. Broadway reduced to one lane in each direction between Burrard and Arbutus streets to support construction activities including traffic deck removal and backfilling.
Permanent utility relocation work is ongoing at Cypress Street
Crews are currently removing traffic deck panels and girders on Broadway between Maple and Cypress streets.
As construction activities change, we are also able to reinstate two-way traffic on W. 8th Avenue between Arbutus and Burrard streets beginning as early as June 20.
To complete this work efficiently, crews will continue working primarily during the day, with intermittent overnight work as required.
Permanent utility work will begin as early as April 10 with working occurring on W. Broadway at Arbutus and Cypress streets.
Regular work hours are from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. including night work. Night work hours are from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Work will begin at the northwest corner of W. Broadway and Arbutus Street, with work occurring between Arbutus and Cypress streets as crews move between locations.
Activities include, but are not limited to, hydrovac work, saw-cutting, excavation, backfilling and resurfacing work.
Arbutus Street will be intermittently closed to southbound traffic between W. Broadway and W. 8th Avenue. Northbound traffic will be maintained while work is taking place in this area. Nighttime work on Arbutus Street may involve intermittent closures to vehicles in both directions between W. Broadway and W. 8th Avenue.
Cypress Street will have intermittent lane closures between W. 8th and W. 10th avenues while work is taking place. During this time, Maple Street between W. 8th and W. Broadway will remain open to traffic.
Tunnels
Hours of work: up to 24/7 for work inside tunnels
Crews are installing the SkyTrain track, crew walkway, and systems to complete tunnel fit out.
